Loftsonate is my home in Lowell, MA which is instrumented with sensors, internet connected devices and a Twitter account. It tweets, sending out public messages to me, and anyone else who follows it on Twitter about the state of the lights, my weight and when motion has been sensed. Loftsonate is able to turn the lights on and off at will, sometimes at the right times, sometimes not. At times, the tweets seem kind of sarcastic, perhaps reflecting the tone of its occupant.

In 2014, I presented a poster about Loftsonate at the Information Architecture Summit and I gave a talk at MidwestUX.
